Matthieu Michael Borek, Age 39, passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 25, 2020 while vacationing in Cancun Mexico. He was born May 16th, 1981 in Providence Rhode Island to Cheryl Lacount. He grew up in Pawtucket Rhode Island where he attended school. Matt’s life was rich and full to the brim with a great many adventures. He’s lived in many places, excelling in different careers; while making great friends along his way. Matt had a beautiful ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. One of his favorite quotes is exactly how he lived his life. “Live life to the fullest, there are no ordinary moments, make every one count.” He was a wonderful & devoted father to his son Ace Borek. In addition he is survived by his mother and father Cheryl & Norman Lacount, his sister Tara Gonsalves, his niece and nephew Kimberlee & Kevin Curry and his girlfriend Nichole Amaral. Family and friends are invited to the memorial service at Keefe Funeral Home in Lincoln Rhode Island, Saturday October 3rd from 5-8pm. The memorial service will also be live streamed on Keefe’s website for those who aren’t able to come in person.
